Please feel free to contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes we are - you can get in touch with us to find out our availability!
Yes, we offer this service for small to medium sized dogs. When booking in please let us know if you require the pick-up and drop-off service. This is free of charge if you are within the Ballymoney town area. Extra charges will apply if you live further outside of the town.
We accept cash and PayPal payments.
It is best to drop your dog off and return once their treatment has been finished. Dogs may often be nervous when you leave them, but after a few minutes they usually warm up to us and settle. If you are present your dog will want to be near you - it is important that we have their full attention throughout the process to ensure it is done safely. We are working with sharp blades and scissors so we simply cannot risk owners being a distraction to their dog. If at any point we think your dog is becoming too stressed or if we have any concerns, we will call you.
Yes, when booking in with us please make us aware if this is the case, therefore we can arrange a quiet time slot where your dog is the only dog present in the salon.
We strictly have no drying cages in our salon. Each dog is dried by hand after their bath. Although this can increase the time taken to dry, we will never compromise your dogs safety and comfort.
We take pride in offering the best quality products for your dog. We have a number of shampoos available, we will assess which we believe would be best for your dogs coat type. You are always welcome to provide your own shampoo or a vet prescribed shampoo for us to use on your dog. We ask that these are brought in the original bottle with a clear label in order for us to check the instructions for use and expiry date.
Unfortunately we do not offer this service. Dogs should empty their glands naturally, if you are worried that your dog has issues with their anal glands please get in contact with a vet.
If your dog is in season we recommend that you get in touch to reschedule her appointment. Dogs in season are much more sensitive and are less inclined to co-operate during the grooming process. Similarly we will not groom heavily pregnant dogs so as not to put them under any undue stress.
Dogs have a blood vessel running down each of their nails known as the quick, if the nail is cut too short it can cause pain and bleeding. We will always trim them as much as are safely able to.
Many dogs will naturally wear their own nails down through regular walking (especially on concrete). If you wish for the nails to be a shorter length we recommend filing them down at home every so often between grooms to encourage the quick to recede which will eventually allow for a shorter cut.
If your dog becomes too distressed due to attempts of nail clipping, for safety reasons we will not push them to co-operate and instead advise you to see a vet for advice.
This is a very common occurrence in grooming salons and vet clinics. There is no simple explanation as to why it happens. Our best guess is your dog simply just doesn’t enjoy the grooming process and/or being away from you and out of their usual comfort zone.
